Epic Games Launches Fab Marketplace in Mid-October
At GDC 2023, Epic Games announced that it would be merging all of its asset stores under one brand: Fab. A year ago, the launch of Fab was delayed. Now, the marketplace is scheduled to launch in mid-October.
It was an ambitious project that was supposed to make it much easier to trade assets for the Epic Games middleware. At GCC 2023, the creators of Unreal Engine announced that they would be combining the asset stores they operate – Unreal Engie Marketplace, Sketchfab, Quixel Bridge and Art Station Marketplace – into a single marketplace called Fab.com. But the launch was delayed. On 20 September 2023, Epic Games announced that the launch would be postponed until 2024. Now, Epic Games is narrowing down the launch of Fab.com much more precisely. The new marketplace will start in mid-October.
