Amazon Prime and RGG Studio Drop "Like a Dragon" Live-Action Trailer
"Like a Dragon" developer Ryu Ga Gotoku and Amazon have dropped the trailer for the TV series of the same name. The lead role of Kiryu Kazuma will be played by "Kamen Rider" star Ryoma Takeuchi, with Masaharu Take as director and Munetaka Aoki as Goro Majima. The series comes out this month.

Sega and Amazon have released the first full trailer for the upcoming Like a Dragon streaming series. The series will release this month, with the first half of scheduled to go online on 24 October and the second on 1 November 2024.
**Original article from 05 June 2024**After "Fallout" and the "Tomb Raider" series currently in production, Amazon Prime is turning its attention to the next video game brand. The Japanese gaming studio Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG), a Sega subsidiary, announced via social media that a live-action series based on the ‘Like a Dragon’ video game series will be released on Amazon Prime on 24 October.
Formerly known as "Yakuza" in the West, the video game series revolves around ex-mafioso Kiryu Kazuma, who has to reconcile his family life with political intrigue, street fights and the shadows of his past in the fictional Tokyo entertainment district of Kamurocho (Kabukicho in real Tokyo). In the series, Kazuma is played by Ryoma Takeuchi, known from "Kamen Rider". The project is directed by Masaharu Take.
The miniseries currently comprises six episodes, the first half of which is scheduled to go online on 24 October and the second on 1 November 2024. The plot will be loosely based on that of the first "Like a Dragon" game, which was originally released for the PlayStation 2 in 2005 and re-released as "Yakuza Kiwami" in 2016.
