In 2023, the games industry generated revenues of 2.34 billion Euros, a growth of 16.3 per cent compared to the previous year, according to the Spanish Video Games Association (AEVI) in its yearbook. This is by far the highest growth rate of the five largest European games markets. This growth is due to an increase in both physical and online sales, which rose by 24.85 per cent to 1.038 billion Euros and 10.25 per cent to 1.301 billion Euros respectively.
